Established in June 2000, El Barrio Latin Bar is owned by The Coconut Groove Company Limited, an independent operator.

The bar benefits from an entertainment license with flexible opening hours until 3am (5am during festivals and festive seasons) 7 nights per week, remaining open long after most other city bars have closed.

While we have remained true to our Latin roots, using traditional rustic design and craftsmanship, modern functionality and technology have not been forgotten; El Barrio is the last word in both warm authenticity and cool modernity.

No Latin bar is complete without beats! Ours are so infectious that our weekly salsa classes are rapidly gaining fame throughout Edinburgh, not forgetting the top DJs and live bands who regularly perform.
